College Essay Writing Workshop

In Essay Coaching’s three-part in-person workshop, you’ll gain the skills you need to write an authentic, memorable personal essay—and you’ll have the time and space to get started. Our sessions will be a combination of instruction, discussion, and focused writing time. When we wrap up our work together, you’ll have a solid first draft and a clear path to completion, all before the busiest part of college application season gets underway. We will focus our discussions on the 650-word Common App essay, which most college applicants submit. This approach can be applied to college-specific essays, scholarship applications, and other opportunities. You’ll have the opportunity to revise in between our sessions. If you feel ready to share your draft after the second session, you’ll receive written feedback that we can discuss and work through together in the third session.
